It was our great joy to welcome my brother and sister-in-law home tonight. They are moving back to the states after two years overseas, and just in time for Christmas! We are thankful that we will have the opportunity to live close to them for a little while but we are even more thankful for what God has accomplished in and through their lives in the last two years.
We are so proud of you both. We commend you in your honest desire to live a life that is pleasing to God, a life that obeys his voice, even when that voice says to move to an unknown place far from home. You have been the aroma of Christ among people who long to worship a God that is huge and intimate at the same time. May his name be praised.
May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us,
That Your way may be known on Earth, Your saving power among all nations.
Let the peoples praise You , O God;
Let the Nations be glad and sing for joy . . .
