The Boy and The Firetruck

Aiden got to be a part of a Firehouse field trip with our home school co-op. He had the chance to wear the helmet, hold the hose, climb through the cab and see a fully outfitted fireman. It was a great day!

Little Man

This little man is FOUR! I wish we had a video of him blinking his eyelashes in delight as we sang to him. He was so pleased to be the center of attention after watching his brothers celebrate over the last two weeks. We had pizza (his primary food group) and cupcakes to make his night special.

Funnies

Here's Aiden working hard on his school work. : )

Aiden and I were sitting at the table together the other day. He sneezed and then stared at me for the longest time. I wasn't sure what I had done wrong until he said, "BLESS you?"
"Oh, I'm sorry. Bless you, Aiden."
"Tank you."

For awhile Aiden loved the numbers 6, 7, 8, and 9. In fact, he would often begin counting things with the number six. That has changed now that Austin has been teaching him 11 and 12. Sometimes they count all the way to 20 together. So now Aiden's counting goes like this "one, two, free, le-ben, tweve, fouteen, footeen, . . ." I hope we get them all in the right order someday. : )

Starting School

Aiden started Preschool this week. He's going to our church's program two mornings a week. Bobby and I thought it would be good for him to have a little social time out of the house and allow me a little extra time with the older boys for school. So far, he loves it and was excited to go back today. Isn't that the most precious face?

Edit: It was too much for mommy. Now he's only going one morning a week. : )

Cute Talkin'

Aiden is two years and three months old this week. I love this stage of language development! It is so fun to watch them mimic and experiment with language. He talks constantly and we are understanding him more each day. Here's a little glimpse of what we hear from him.

"I coming!" said with enthusiasm when we call him from another room. Cracks me up everytime. Usually I'm just calling to see which room he is in, but I get this response anyway.

"Talky to?" or "who-ya-talky-to?" asked after we hang up the phone.

"And-ew!" and "Auh-tin!" when he sees the boys coming.

"Bye bye Daddy. Love you. Bye bye Daddy. Love you. Bye bye Daddy. Love you." spoken non-stop each morning from when Bobby picks up his car keys until he actually walks out the door for work.

"Tank you, mommy." He loves to say thank you and we love to hear it!! Melt your heart!

"BIG TRUCK! BIG TRUCK!" shouted at any large vehicle especially semis and tractors.

"No." and "I no want to." Not as cute as the others . . . but we do hear that a lot.

"You're welcome." He spent a week experimenting with this phrase trying to figure out where to put it in a conversation. : )

"Q-me" whenever he, or anyone else, burps

"Oh! poop!" whenever he, or anyone else, toots

Some of his favorite words: waffle, syrup, ketchup, lmunade (lemonade), drink (anything with a straw), juice . . . notice his favorite words all have sugar in them.

"Watch this, daddy!" Showing off for his favorite fan.
