Center

When Bobby started doing his verse of the week postings, I thought to myself that I could post my song of the week. He was meditating and memorizing his verse while I was singing my song. I decided not to admit this difference out loud because I thought it would emphasize that he is more spiritual than me. (He does sing and I occasionally meditate, we were just made very differently!)

Anyway, this week a song by Charlie Hall got my attention. It is a song that helps me sing my prayers to God and moves me into worship. I'm so grateful for people who love the Lord and use their fantastic talents to worship. These are great God exalting words.

So here's my song of the week:

You are the center of the universe
Everything was made in you Jesus
Breath of every living thing
Everyone was made for you

You hold everything together
Christ be the center of our lives
be the place we fix our eyes
be the center of our lives

We lift our eyes to heaven
We wrap our lives around your life
We lift our eyes to heaven to you

I'm right there with ya! Music is a huge part of worship for me and makes me grateful that we can worship in so many (creative) ways. I've never heard this song before, but I'm glad that you brought it to our attention. What a great theme to meditate on!

Amen sister---I'm there with you. Rody can memorize scripture so well, but I love doing the scripture songs with my kids. :-) (okay so I learn at a 3rd grade level) haha!!! I LOVE that song. I first heard it at our Katalyst weekend!! It is great and btw...I'm soooo ready for you to be home and visit with you. I miss you!
