We are gearing up for Orphan Sunday on November 8th. Our hope is to give our congregation encouragement to think about children that need homes and enlist their help in doing something tangible for those children. We are hoping to create teams of people that will minister to the families doing foster care in our community. We also have pictures of some precious orphan children that are waiting for sponsors through Compassion International.
I am most excited about the Web-cast with Steven Curtis Chapman on the afternoon of November 8th. They are doing a free concert on behalf of the millions of orphans around the world. Jim Daly and Dennis Rainey will also be speaking. All of the details can be found at orphansunday.org.
