"Oh, the depths of the riches of both the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!" -- Apostle Paul (Romans 11:33)
I really wanted to type out the following three verses, but then it wouldn't be the "verse" of the week but "verses". I love the emotion of Paul here, as he contemplates our great God.
This verse comes at the end of a section in which Paul examines the mystery of how God has ordained the salvation of the nations and the role of the disobedience of Israel in it. I can see from this passage, not only Paul’s love for his people, but also his view of just how intricate and exact is God's control over the course of human history and salvation.
The verses that follow declare just how complete His reign is in the universe, how utterly Sovereign (in control) He is, and how much beyond our comprehension He is.
